What is a class II oil separator and where is it used?
The main areas of use for class II oil separators are car parks, terminals, industrial enterprises, roadways, carwashes, repair shops and storage yards. The oil separators are designed to channel rainwater and industrial wastewater into the sewage or nature.
What differentiates class II oil separators from class I analogues is that the former must ensure that the concentration of hydrocarbons in purified water would not exceed 100 mg/l (this value is 5 mg/l for class I oil separators). In a class II separator, the separation of oil and petrol particles happens solely because of gravity and the difference between specific gravities.
NB! Purification of water must always start with the removal of sand and mud. A sand-mud trap must also be installed in front or inside of a class II oil-petrol separator.
What are the dimensions?
The possible diameters are: 1200 mm; 1600 mm; 2100 mm and 2400 mm.
