What is a sand-mud trap and where is it used?

We manufacture sand-mud traps to be used in carwashes, storage yards, courtyard areas, repair shops and car parks, for example. What are they used for? The purpose of a sand-mud trap is to remove sand, mud and other heavy particles from wastewater and rainwater. When water flows into the trap, solid particles fall to the bottom of the tank and purified water will flow onwards. Sand-mud traps are useful and efficient because they protect sewage systems from clogging.
If you want to install a sand-mud trap in a repair shop, carwash or on the premises of a petrol station, it is recommended to use a sand-mud trap along with oil and petrol separators.

What are the dimensions?

We manufacture traps with the following diameters: 1,200 mm; 1,600 mm; 2,100 mm and 2,400 mm. NB! The size of the tank depends on the volume of water that needs to be purified and the speed of the water inflow!
